Awareness is the Key! Initiatives by Shanti Bhavan Medical Center
In 2025, in Jharkhand alone 4,078 people were bitten by snakes; 27 reportedly died. Superstitions are rampant about snakes. Many non-poisonous snakes are killed. Many people die out of fear. Shanti Bhavan Medical Center successfully conducted a series of Basic Life Support (BLS), Snake Bite Management, and Trauma Transport Training Programmes across TEN blocks of Simdega District, Jharkhand, between 15th April and 8th May 2026.
